ٱلنِّسَاء : ٦٥

  • فَلَا But no
  • وَرَبِّكَ by your Lord
  • لَا not
  • يُؤۡمِنُونَ will they believe
  • حَتَّىٰ until
  • يُحَكِّمُوكَ they make you judge
  • فِيمَا about what
  • شَجَرَ arises
  • بَيۡنَهُمۡ between them
  • ثُمَّ then
  • لَا not
  • يَجِدُواْ they find
  • فِيٓ in
  • أَنفُسِهِمۡ themselves
  • حَرَجٗا any discomfort
  • مِّمَّا about what
  • قَضَيۡتَ you (have) decided
  • وَيُسَلِّمُواْ and submit
  • تَسۡلِيمٗا (in full) submission
But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muḥammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.
But no, (fa-laa, the laa is extra) by your Lord! They will not believe until they make you judge over what has broken out, has become mixed up, between them and find in themselves no inhibition, [no] constraint or doubt, regarding what you decide, but submit, [but] comply with your ruling, in full submission, without objection.
