ٱلْإِسْرَاء : ٢٤

  • وَٱخۡفِضۡ And lower
  • لَهُمَا to them
  • جَنَاحَ (the) wing
  • ٱلذُّلِّ (of) humility
  • مِنَ (out) of
  • ٱلرَّحۡمَةِ [the] mercy
  • وَقُل and say
  • رَّبِّ My Lord!
  • ٱرۡحَمۡهُمَا Have mercy on both of them
  • كَمَا as
  • رَبَّيَانِي they brought me up
  • صَغِيرٗا (when I was) small
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."
And lower to them the wing of humility, show them your submissive side, out of mercy, that is, on account of your affection for them, and say, 'My Lord, have mercy on them, just as they, had mercy on me when [they], reared me when I was little'.
