مَرْيَم : ٥٩

  • فَخَلَفَ Then succeeded
  • مِنۢ after them
  • بَعۡدِهِمۡ after them
  • خَلۡفٌ successors
  • أَضَاعُواْ who neglected
  • ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer
  • وَٱتَّبَعُواْ and they followed
  • ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِۖ the lusts
  • فَسَوۡفَ so soon
  • يَلۡقَوۡنَ they will meet
  • غَيًّا evil
But there came after them successors [i.e., later generations] who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil1 -
