Ibrahim: 21

Ayah

Word by Word
وَبَرَزُواْ
And they will come forth
لِلَّهِ
before Allah
جَمِيعٗا
all together
فَقَالَ
then will say
ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُاْ
the weak
لِلَّذِينَ
to those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
were arrogant
إِنَّا
Indeed, we
كُنَّا
we were
لَكُمۡ
your
تَبَعٗا
followers
فَهَلۡ
so can
أَنتُم
you (be)
مُّغۡنُونَ
the one who avails
عَنَّا
us
مِنۡ
from
عَذَابِ
(the) punishment
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
مِن
anything
شَيۡءٖۚ
anything
قَالُواْ
They will say
لَوۡ
If
هَدَىٰنَا
Allah had guided us
ٱللَّهُ
Allah had guided us
لَهَدَيۡنَٰكُمۡۖ
surely we would have guided you
سَوَآءٌ
(It is) same
عَلَيۡنَآ
for us
أَجَزِعۡنَآ
whether we show intolerance
أَمۡ
or
صَبَرۡنَا
we are patient
مَا
not
لَنَا
(is) for us
مِن
any
مَّحِيصٖ
place of escape

Translation

They will all be marshalled before Allah together: then will the weak say to those who were arrogant, "For us, we but followed you; can ye then avail us to all against the wrath of Allah?" They will reply, "If we had received the Guidance of Allah, we should have given it to you: to us it makes no difference (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience: for ourselves there is no way of escape."
