Nur Fajri Romadhon’s Profile

Nur Fajri Romadhon is a hafizh with exceptional skill and knowledge expertise in Quran recitation, tafsir, and Islamic law. He is a Vice Secretary of the Fatwa Methodology Commission of Majelis Ulama Indonesia (Indonesian Islamic Scholars’ Council), committee member of the Fatwa Commission of Majelis Ulama Indonesia Jakarta, Majelis Tarjih & Tajdid’s vice-head of Muhammadiyah in Greater Jakarta province, a director of BISA.id and a researcher at Institute for Islamic Studies and Islamic Law in Universitas Indonesia.

His formal Islamic education was at bachelor’s program in Islamic Law at Al-Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and master’s program in Judicial Studies at King Abdulaziz University. Informally, he has travelled in order to learn Islam in Mecca, Madinah, Jeddah, Riyadh, Buraidah, ‘Unaizah, Islamabad, Perlis, Selangor and many places in Indonesia as well. He is now taking his other bachelor’s degree in Laws at Universitas Indonesia.

Beside memorizing some mutun (small books as abstracts of particular Islamic sciences) he also has sanads (certifications) of Qiraa-at Al ‘Asyr (all 10 ways of reading Quran) which its shortest chain is 29 persons between him and the beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessing upon the prophet, primary books of hadith and other books. He participated in a leadership training program in the USA and a youth exchange in Australia.

In addition to translating several Arabic books, among the books he has written are Quran Mapping published by Aqwam (2024), Ādābu Thālibil ‘Ilm (2018), Naskh in the Qur’an (2019), Sepurnama Bersama Al-Qur’an (2022), Al-Muntaqal Musfir (2023), As-Silsilatudz Dzahabiyyah fī Natsrir Raḥabiyyah (2023), Al-Bulghah As-Sābighah fī ‘Ulūmil Balāghah (2023), Al-Khayzurān fī ‘Ulūmil Qur-ān (2024), Asy-Syajarun Nāmī fī Tārīkhit Tasyrī’il Islāmiyy (2024), also reviewed the text of the ‘Ilmut Tafsīr of Nuqāyatul ‘Ulūm by Al-Ḥāfidzh As-Suyūthiyy (2023), became the editor of Rekonstruksi Nalar terhadap Isu-Isu Timur Tengah published by LIPI (2021) and became a co-writer for the book 80% Kosakata Al-Qur’an published by BISA (2017), Fiqh Perempuan Berkemajuan (2024) and Menafsir Ulang Problem Gender, Difabel, dan Inklusi Sosial (2025) – both published by Suara Aisyiyah.

He plays an important role at Learn Quran as a Shariah Director who actively advise the content development of Learn Quran Tafsir & Quran Mushaf, as well as a narrator of Learn Quran Tajwid.
