ٱلْحِجْر : ٩٤

  • فَٱصۡدَعۡ So proclaim
  • بِمَا of what
  • تُؤۡمَرُ you are ordered
  • وَأَعۡرِضۡ and turn away
  • عَنِ from
  • ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ the polytheists
Then declare what you are commanded1 and turn away from the polytheists.2

So proclaim, O Muhammad may peace and salutation be upon him, what you have been commanded, to [proclaim], in other words, declare it openly and carry it out, and turn away from the idolaters - this was [revealed] before the command to struggle [against the idolaters].
