ٱلْإِسْرَاء : ٣٦

  • وَلَا And (do) not
  • تَقۡفُ pursue
  • مَا what
  • لَيۡسَ not
  • لَكَ you have
  • بِهِۦ of it
  • عِلۡمٌۚ any knowledge
  • إِنَّ Indeed
  • ٱلسَّمۡعَ the hearing
  • وَٱلۡبَصَرَ and the sight
  • وَٱلۡفُؤَادَ and the heart
  • كُلُّ all
  • أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ those
  • كَانَ will be
  • عَنۡهُ [about it]
  • مَسۡـُٔولٗا questioned
And do not pursue1 that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.

And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed the hearing and the sight and the heart - of each of these it will be asked, of that person what he did with them.
