هُود : ٦٩

  • وَلَقَدۡ And certainly
  • جَآءَتۡ came
  • رُسُلُنَآ Our messengers
  • إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ (to) Ibrahim
  • بِٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ with glad tidings
  • قَالُواْ they said
  • سَلَٰمٗاۖ Peace
  • قَالَ He said
  • سَلَٰمٞۖ Peace
  • فَمَا and not he delayed
  • لَبِثَ and not he delayed
  • أَن to
  • جَآءَ bring
  • بِعِجۡلٍ a calf
  • حَنِيذٖ roasted
And certainly did Our messengers [i.e., angels] come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf.
And verily Our messengers came to Abraham with good tidings, of [the birth of] Isaac and, after him, Jacoibn They said, 'Peace!' (salaaman is a verbal noun). He said, 'Peace!', be upon you, and did not delay to bring a roasted calf.
