Ayah

Word by Word
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
أُخۡرِجُواْ
have been evicted
مِن
from
دِيَٰرِهِم
their homes
بِغَيۡرِ
without
حَقٍّ
right
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
يَقُولُواْ
they said
رَبُّنَا
Our Lord
ٱللَّهُۗ
(is) Allah
وَلَوۡلَا
And if not
دَفۡعُ
Allah checks
ٱللَّهِ
Allah checks
ٱلنَّاسَ
the people
بَعۡضَهُم
some of them
بِبَعۡضٖ
by others
لَّهُدِّمَتۡ
surely (would) have been demolished
صَوَٰمِعُ
monasteries
وَبِيَعٞ
and churches
وَصَلَوَٰتٞ
and synagogues
وَمَسَٰجِدُ
and masajid
يُذۡكَرُ
is mentioned
فِيهَا
in it
ٱسۡمُ
(the) name of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
(the) name of Allah
كَثِيرٗاۗ
much
وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ
And surely Allah will help
ٱللَّهُ
And surely Allah will help
مَن
(those) who
يَنصُرُهُۥٓۚ
help Him
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
لَقَوِيٌّ
(is) surely All-Strong
عَزِيزٌ
All-Mighty

Translation

(They are) those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right,- (for no cause) except that they say, "our Lord is Allah". Did not Allah check one set of people by means of another, there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of Allah is commemorated in abundant measure. Allah will certainly aid those who aid his (cause);- for verily Allah is full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (able to enforce His Will).
