فَوَرَبِّ

لَحَقّٞ

أَنَّكُمۡ

تَنطِقُونَ
speak
فَوَرَبِّ
Then by (the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
(of) the heaven
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
and the earth
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed it
لَحَقّٞ
(is) surely (the) truth
مِّثۡلَ
(just) as
مَآ
[what]
أَنَّكُمۡ
you
تَنطِقُونَ
speak

Translation

Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other.

Tafsir

So by the Lord of the sky and the earth, it, that which you are promised, is as assuredly true as [the fact] that you have [power of] speech (read mithlu, in the nominative, as an adjective, with the maa being extra; or read mithla, in the accusative, as being a compound with maa), that is to say: [it is as true] as your speech is in reality, that is, in your knowing it to be [true] necessarily by its issuing from you.
