Translation

And [Allāh acknowledges] his saying,1 "O my Lord, indeed these are a people who do not believe."
Footnotes
1 - i.e., the complaint of Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ) about his people.

Tafsir

And [as] for his saying: that is, the saying of the Prophet Muhammad may peace and salutation be upon him (wa-qeelihi is [accusative] dependent because it is a verbal noun followed by an implicit verb, in other words wa-qaala [qeelihi], 'and he said [his saying]') 'O my Lord! These are indeed a people who have no faith'.
