ٱلزُّخْرُف : ٨٧

  • وَلَئِن And if
  • سَأَلۡتَهُم you ask them
  • مَّنۡ who
  • خَلَقَهُمۡ created them
  • لَيَقُولُنَّ they will certainly say
  • ٱللَّهُۖ Allah
  • فَأَنَّىٰ Then how
  • يُؤۡفَكُونَ are they deluded
And if you asked them1 who created them, they would surely say, "Allāh." So how are they deluded?
Footnotes
1 - Those who associate others with Allāh.
And if (wa-la-in: the laam is for oaths) you ask them who created them, they will surely say, 'God' (layaqoolunna: the indicative noon and the [plural] person indicator waaw have been omitted). How can they then deviate?, [how] can they be turned away from worshipping God?
