وَٱلَّذِينَ

يُحَآجُّونَ

ٱللَّهِ

لَهُۥ

حُجَّتُهُمۡ
their argument
دَاحِضَةٌ
(is) invalid
عِندَ
with
رَبِّهِمۡ
their Lord
وَعَلَيۡهِمۡ
and upon them
غَضَبٞ
(is) wrath
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
عَذَابٞ
(is) a punishment
شَدِيدٌ
severe
وَٱلَّذِينَ
And those who
يُحَآجُّونَ
argue
فِي
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
مِنۢ
after
بَعۡدِ
after
مَا
[what]
ٱسۡتُجِيبَ
response has been made to Him
لَهُۥ
response has been made to Him
حُجَّتُهُمۡ
their argument
دَاحِضَةٌ
(is) invalid
عِندَ
with
رَبِّهِمۡ
their Lord
وَعَلَيۡهِمۡ
and upon them
غَضَبٞ
(is) wrath
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
عَذَابٞ
(is) a punishment
شَدِيدٌ
severe

Translation

But those who dispute concerning Allah after He has been accepted,- futile is their dispute in the Sight of their Lord: on them will be a Penalty terrible.

Tafsir

And those who argue, with the Prophet, concerning, the religion of, God after His call has been answered, through faith, on account of His miracle having been manifested - and they are the Jews - their argument stands refuted, [is] invalid, with their Lord, and [His] wrath shall be upon them, and there will be a severe chastisement for them.
