Word by Word
وَذَٰلِكُمۡ
And that
ظَنُّكُمُ
(was) your assumption
ٱلَّذِي
which
ظَنَنتُم
you assumed
بِرَبِّكُمۡ
about your Lord
أَرۡدَىٰكُمۡ
It has ruined you
فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم
and you have become
مِّنَ
of
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
the losers
وَذَٰلِكُمۡ
And that
ظَنُّكُمُ
(was) your assumption
ٱلَّذِي
which
ظَنَنتُم
you assumed
بِرَبِّكُمۡ
about your Lord
أَرۡدَىٰكُمۡ
It has ruined you
فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم
and you have become
مِّنَ
of
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
the losers

Translation

"But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!"

Tafsir

And that (wa-dhaalikum, the subject) supposition of yours (zannukum, substitutes for it) which you supposed of your Lord (alladhee zanantum bi-rabbikum, a descriptive clause; the predicate [is the following, ardaakum]) has ruined you, that is, it has brought about your destruction. So you have become among the losers'.
