غَافِر : ٢٠

  • وَٱللَّهُ And Allah
  • يَقۡضِي judges
  • بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ in truth
  • وَٱلَّذِينَ while those (whom)
  • يَدۡعُونَ they invoke
  • مِن besides Him
  • دُونِهِۦ besides Him
  • لَا not
  • يَقۡضُونَ they judge
  • بِشَيۡءٍۗ with anything
  • إِنَّ Indeed
  • ٱللَّهَ Allah
  • هُوَ He
  • ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer
  • ٱلۡبَصِيرُ the All-Seer
And Allāh judges with truth, while those they invoke1 besides Him judge not with anything. Indeed, Allāh - He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
Footnotes
1 - In worship.
And God decrees with truth, while those on whom they call, whom they worship, that is, the disbelievers of Mecca (read yad'oona, 'they call', or tad'oona, 'you call') besides Him - and these are the idols - do not decree by any means [at all]: so how can they be God's associates? Truly God is the Hearer, of theirsayings, the Seer, of their actions.
