تُدۡعَوۡنَ
you were called
إِلَى
to
ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ
the faith
فَتَكۡفُرُونَ
and you disbelieved
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who

disbelieved
يُنَادَوۡنَ
will be cried out to them
لَمَقۡتُ
(Allah's) hatred
ٱللَّهِ

your hatred
أَنفُسَكُمۡ
(of) yourselves
إِذۡ

تُدۡعَوۡنَ

إِلَى

ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ
the faith
فَتَكۡفُرُونَ
and you disbelieved

Translation

The Unbelievers will be addressed: "Greater was the aversion of Allah to you than (is) your aversion to yourselves, seeing that ye were called to the Faith and ye used to refuse."

Tafsir

Indeed to those who disbelieve it will be proclaimed [to them], from the part of the angels, as they [disbelievers] enter the Hellfire in utter loathing of themselves: 'Surely God's loathing, of you, is greater than your loathing of yourselves, as you were called, [during life] in this world, to faith but you used to disbelieve'.
