فَاطِر : ٤٤

  • أَوَلَمۡ Have they not
  • يَسِيرُواْ traveled
  • فِي in
  • ٱلۡأَرۡضِ the land
  • فَيَنظُرُواْ and seen
  • كَيۡفَ how
  • كَانَ was
  • عَٰقِبَةُ (the) end
  • ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who
  • مِن (were) before them
  • قَبۡلِهِمۡ (were) before them
  • وَكَانُوٓاْ And they were
  • أَشَدَّ stronger
  • مِنۡهُمۡ than them
  • قُوَّةٗۚ (in) power
  • وَمَا But not
  • كَانَ is
  • ٱللَّهُ Allah
  • لِيُعۡجِزَهُۥ that can escape (from) Him
  • مِن any
  • شَيۡءٖ thing
  • فِي in
  • ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens
  • وَلَا and not
  • فِي in
  • ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ the earth
  • إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He
  • كَانَ is
  • عَلِيمٗا All-Knower
  • قَدِيرٗا All-Powerful
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allāh is not to be caused failure [i.e., prevented] by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.
Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them - and they were mightier than these in power?, but [still] God destroyed them for their denial of the messengers. And God is not such that anything in the skies or in the earth can escape Him, pre-empt Him or elude Him. Truly He is ever Knower, of all things, Omnipotent.
