لِّيَجۡزِيَ
That Allah may reward
ٱللَّهُ
That Allah may reward
ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
the truthful
بِصِدۡقِهِمۡ
for their truth
وَيُعَذِّبَ
and punish
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
the hypocrites
إِن
if
شَآءَ
He wills
أَوۡ
or
يَتُوبَ
turn in mercy
عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
to them
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
كَانَ
is
غَفُورٗا
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
Most Merciful
لِّيَجۡزِيَ
That Allah may reward
ٱللَّهُ
That Allah may reward
ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
the truthful
بِصِدۡقِهِمۡ
for their truth
وَيُعَذِّبَ
and punish
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
the hypocrites

He wills

يَتُوبَ
turn in mercy
عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
to them
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
كَانَ
is
غَفُورٗا
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
Most Merciful

Translation

That Allah may reward the men of Truth for their Truth, and punish the Hypocrites if that be His Will, or turn to them in Mercy: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Tafsir

that God may reward the truthful for their truthfulness and chastise the hypocrites, if He will, by causing them to die in [a state of] hypocrisy, or relent to them. Surely God is Forgiving, to he who repents, Merciful, to him.
