ٱلْعَنْكَبُوت : ٤٠

  • فَكُلًّا So each
  • أَخَذۡنَا We seized
  • بِذَنۢبِهِۦۖ for his sin
  • فَمِنۡهُم Then of them
  • مَّنۡ (was he) who
  • أَرۡسَلۡنَا We sent
  • عَلَيۡهِ on him
  • حَاصِبٗا a violent storm
  • وَمِنۡهُم and of them
  • مَّنۡ (was he) who
  • أَخَذَتۡهُ seized him
  • ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ the awful cry
  • وَمِنۡهُم and of them
  • مَّنۡ (was he) who
  • خَسَفۡنَا We caused to swallow
  • بِهِ him
  • ٱلۡأَرۡضَ the earth
  • وَمِنۡهُم and of them
  • مَّنۡ (was he) who
  • أَغۡرَقۡنَاۚ We drowned
  • وَمَا And not
  • كَانَ was
  • ٱللَّهُ Allah
  • لِيَظۡلِمَهُمۡ to wrong them
  • وَلَٰكِن but
  • كَانُوٓاْ they were
  • أَنفُسَهُمۡ themselves
  • يَظۡلِمُونَ doing wrong
So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allāh would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves.
So each, of those mentioned, We seized for his sin; and among them were some upon whom We unleashed a squall of stones, as in the case of the people of Lot, and among them were some who were seized by the Cry, such as Thamood, and among them were some whom We made the earth swallow, such as Korah, and among them were some whom We drowned, like the people of Noah, Pharaoh and his people. And God never wronged them, by chastising them for [having committed] no sin, but they wronged themselves, by committing sins.
