ٱلْعَنْكَبُوت : ١٢

  • وَقَالَ And said
  • ٱلَّذِينَ those who
  • كَفَرُواْ disbelieve
  • لِلَّذِينَ to those who
  • ءَامَنُواْ believe
  • ٱتَّبِعُواْ Follow
  • سَبِيلَنَا our way
  • وَلۡنَحۡمِلۡ and we will carry
  • خَطَٰيَٰكُمۡ your sins
  • وَمَا But not
  • هُم they
  • بِحَٰمِلِينَ (are) going to carry
  • مِنۡ of
  • خَطَٰيَٰهُم their sins
  • مِّن any
  • شَيۡءٍۖ thing
  • إِنَّهُمۡ Indeed they
  • لَكَٰذِبُونَ (are) surely liars
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Follow our way, and we will carry your sins."1 But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars.
Footnotes
1 - The phrase may also read: "and let us carry your sins," i.e., the responsibility for your sins.
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, 'Follow our path, our religion, and we will bear [responsibility for] your sins', when you follow us, should there be any [such sins] (the imperative here functions as a predicate). God, exalted be He, says: But they will not [be able to] bear anything of their sins. Truly they are liars, in [saying] this.
