فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم مُّوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍ قَالُواْ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٌ مُّفۡتَرًى وَمَا سَمِعۡنَا بِهَٰذَا فِىٓ ءَابَآئِنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
When Moses came to them with Our clear signs, they said: "This is nothing but sorcery faked up: never did we head the like among our fathers of old!"<br/>
But when Moses brought them Our clear signs (bayyinaatin, a circumstantial qualifier) they said, 'This is nothing but concocted, invented, sorcery. And we never heard of such [a thing], to have [ever] existed, in, the days of, our forefathers'.
