Tafsir

An-Naml (the Ants) Meccan; it consists of 93, 94, or 95 verses revealed after soorat al-Shu'araa'. Taa seen: God knows best what He means by these [letters]. Those, namely, these signs, are the signs of the Qur'aan, signs from it, and a Manifest Book, manifesting [what is] truth from [what is] falsehood (wa-kitaabin, 'Book', is a supplement [to al-qur'aan] with the addition of an adjective [mubeen, 'manifest']).
