Translation

Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers..."1

1 - The conclusion of this verse is estimated as "...we would do this or that."

Tafsir

If only we had another turn, [another] return to this world, we would have been among those who believe!' (law, 'if only', here is for [the conditional] optative, to which nakoona, 'we would have been', constitutes the response).
