Ayah

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرۡسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشۡرًا بَيۡنَ يَدَىۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً طَهُورًا

Translation

And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,-<br/>

Tafsir

And He it is Who sends forth the winds (al-riyaaha; a variant has al-reeha, 'the wind') dispersing before His mercy (nushuran, 'dispersing'), scattered before the [coming of the] rain (a variant reading has nushran, the singular of which is nashoor, similar [in pattern] to rasool, 'messenger' [plural rusul]; another reading has nashran, as a verbal noun; and a third variant has bushran, in other words, [the winds function as] mubashshiraat, 'bearers of good tidings', the singular of which is basheer); and We send down from the sky purifying water,
