ٱلْفُرْقَان : ٣٠

  • وَقَالَ And said
  • ٱلرَّسُولُ the Messenger
  • يَٰرَبِّ O my Lord!
  • إِنَّ Indeed
  • قَوۡمِي my people
  • ٱتَّخَذُواْ took
  • هَٰذَا this
  • ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ the Quran
  • مَهۡجُورٗا (as) a forsaken thing
And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’ān as [a thing] abandoned."1

1 - i.e., avoiding it, not listening to or understanding it, not living by it, or preferring something else to it.
And the Messenger, Muhammad may peace and salutation be upon him, says, 'O my Lord, lo! my people, the [tribe of] Quraysh, consider this Qur'aan as something to be shunned', to be disregarded.
