Ayah

لَّقَدۡ
Verily
أَضَلَّنِي
he led me astray
عَنِ
from
ٱلذِّكۡرِ
the Reminder
بَعۡدَ
after
إِذۡ
[when]
جَآءَنِيۗ
it (had) come to me
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ
to the man
خَذُولٗا
a deserter
لَّقَدۡ
Verily
أَضَلَّنِي
he led me astray
عَنِ
from
ٱلذِّكۡرِ
the Reminder
بَعۡدَ
after
إِذۡ
[when]
جَآءَنِيۗ
it (had) come to me
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ
to the man
خَذُولٗا
a deserter

Translation

He led me away from the remembrance1 after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."2

2 Forsaking him once he has led him into evil.

Tafsir

Verily he has led me astray from the Remembrance, namely, Al-Qur'an, after it had come to me, by causing me to recant my belief in it. God, exalted be He, says: And Satan is ever a deserter of, the disbelieving, man', abandoning him and dissociating from him in [times of] tribulation.
