Ayah

سُورَةٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهَا وَفَرَضۡنَٰهَا وَأَنزَلۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَٰتٍ بَيِّنَٰتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ

Translation

A sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition.<br/>

Tafsir

An-Nuur (the Light)<br/><br/>Medinese, consisting of 62 or 64 verses.<br/><br/>This is, a soora which We have revealed and prescribed (read faradnaahaa, or [the intensive form] farradnaahaa, on account of the large number of prescriptions contained in it) and wherein We have revealed manifest signs, [signs] containing clear indications, that perhaps you might remember (tadhakkaroona: the second taa' [of tatadhakkaroona] has been assimilated with the dhaal), that you might be admonished.
