(of) the former (people)

ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
(of) the former (people)

Translation

"Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!"

Tafsir

Already We and our fathers have been promised this, resurrection after death, before: these are nothing but the fables, the lies, of the ancients', [mere] jokes and strange tales (asaateer, the plural of ustoora).
