Ayah

Word by Word
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ
So seized them
ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ
the awful cry
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
in truth
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
and We made them
غُثَآءٗۚ
(as) rubbish of dead leaves
فَبُعۡدٗا
So away
لِّلۡقَوۡمِ
with the people
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoers
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ
So seized them
ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ
the awful cry
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
in truth
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
and We made them
غُثَآءٗۚ
(as) rubbish of dead leaves
فَبُعۡدٗا
So away
لِّلۡقَوۡمِ
with the people
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoers

Translation

Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!

Tafsir

So the Cry, the Cry of chastisement and destruction, seized them rightfully, and they died, and We made them as husks (ghuthaa' is desiccated vegetation, in other words, We transformed them into similarly desiccated [worthless] things). So a far removal, from mercy, for the evildoing folk, the denying [folk].
