قَالَ
He said
بَل
Nay
رَّبُّكُمۡ
your Lord
رَبُّ
(is the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
and the earth
ٱلَّذِي
the One Who
فَطَرَهُنَّ
created them
وَأَنَا۠
and I am
عَلَىٰ
to
ذَٰلِكُم
that
مِّنَ
of
ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ
the witnesses
قَالَ
He said
بَل
Nay
رَّبُّكُمۡ
your Lord
رَبُّ
(is the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
and the earth
ٱلَّذِي
the One Who
فَطَرَهُنَّ
created them
وَأَنَا۠
and I am
عَلَىٰ
to
ذَٰلِكُم
that
مِّنَ
of
ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ
the witnesses

Translation

He said, "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (Truth).

Tafsir

He said, 'Nay, but your Lord, the [only] One worthy of being worshipped, is the Lord, the Owner, of the skies and the earth, [the One] Who originated them, [Who] created them without any precedent, and to that, which I have said, I am a witness.
