تَجۡرِي

تَحۡتِهَا

ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
abiding forever
فِيهَاۚ
in it
وَذَٰلِكَ
And that
جَزَآءُ
(is) the reward
مَن
(for him) who
تَزَكَّىٰ
purifies himself
جَنَّـٰتُ
Gardens
عَدۡنٖ
(of) Eden
تَجۡرِي
flows
مِن
from
تَحۡتِهَا
underneath them
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
abiding forever
فِيهَاۚ
in it
وَذَٰلِكَ
And that
جَزَآءُ
(is) the reward
مَن
(for him) who
تَزَكَّىٰ
purifies himself

Translation

Gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of one who purifies himself.1

1 - From all uncleanliness, the greatest of which is worship and obedience to other than Allāh.

Tafsir

the Gardens of Eden, that is to say, as a [place of] residence (this [jannaatu 'Adnin, 'Gardens of Eden'] is an explication thereof [of al-darajaatu'l-'ulaa, 'the highest degrees']) underneath which rivers flow, abiding therein, and that is the reward of him who keeps pure, of sins.
