Al-Ma'idah: 27

Ayah

وَٱتۡلُ
And recite
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
to them
نَبَأَ
the story
ٱبۡنَيۡ
(of) two sons
ءَادَمَ
(of) Adam
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
in truth
إِذۡ
when
قَرَّبَا
both offered
قُرۡبَانٗا
a sacrifice
فَتُقُبِّلَ
and it was accepted
مِنۡ
from
أَحَدِهِمَا
one of them
وَلَمۡ
and not
يُتَقَبَّلۡ
was accepted
مِنَ
from
ٱلۡأٓخَرِ
the other
قَالَ
Said (the latter)
لَأَقۡتُلَنَّكَۖ
Surely I will kill you
قَالَ
Said (the former)
إِنَّمَا
Only
يَتَقَبَّلُ
accepts
ٱللَّهُ
(does) Allah
مِنَ
from
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
the God fearing

Translation

Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah): It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "Allah doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.
